Senior IT Ops Engineer

Job Description

The Senior IT Ops Engineer utilizes our secure cloud-based technology resources to ensure that IT
operations run smoothly. The ideal candidate will be an experienced Senior IT Ops Engineer who is able to
apply skills and experience to enable our teams and customers to remain productive in a remote
environment, with stringent compliance standards, within our established cloud-based infrastructure. The
Senior IT Ops Engineer will assist to design, implement, and manage cloud solutions that run on Microsoft
Azure, including computing, database, network, storage, monitoring, and security as well as managing the
Microsoft O365 environment with a combination of internal staff. Responsibilities for this role include
supporting a production and development environments, performing IT service desk tasks, and automating
procedures to increase the overall efficiency of the company IT operations. A candidate for this position
should have experience and knowledge of Azure and O365 IT operations within GCC High, including,
identity and endpoint management, security, cloud-based networking, virtualization, and operations.

Responsibilities

Must be able to legally work in the United States. Verification will be required to process I-9. Must pass
company-sponsored commercial background check and meet eligibility criteria to support U.S. Federal
Government contracts. Security clearance is beneficial but not required.

Required Skills

Provide knowledge and experience in Microsoft technologies that includes:
- Windows Server operation systems
- Azure Active Directory and Domain Services
- Exchange Online
- Endpoint Manager
- Defender and Purview
- Other Microsoft technologies as needed
Support cloud-based web application using DevOps and SQL Server
Ability to support and maintain an On-Prem DevOps server infrastructure
Assist in creating and maintaining necessary IT documentation
Ability to generate and run automations through scripting (PowerShell, Bicep, Arm Templates)
Provide IT support for cybersecurity, programming, analytics, and infrastructure management
Provide technical support and customer service in troubleshooting various end-user issues

Preferred Skills

Experience integrating with Microsoft Tools to build business solutions with SharePoint, Power Automate, Power BI, PowerShell, etc.
Knowledge of MIST 800-171 and CMMC v2.0 cybersecurity frameworks
Interpersonal communication and organizational skills
Experience working in Microsoft M365/Azure GCC High environments

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree (IT, CS, IS, MIS, or engineering disciple) or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 10 years overall IT industry experience.
Minimum of 2 years in an IT Ops Engineering role using service and hosting solutions.
Experience in designing and supporting technical solutions for Microsoft-centric solutions based on industry standards using Azure IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS capabilities.
Experience with the following: O365, Azure, SharePoint, Security and Compliance Administration.
Experience managing endpoints via a device management tool.
Knowledge of cloud security controls including tenant isolation, encryption at rest, encryption in
transit, key management, vulnerability assessments, application firewalls, SIEM, etc.
Experience building the infrastructure and supporting web and mobile applications in an Azure
cloud-based production environment.
Experience with building automation through scripts using PowerShell.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to communicate effectively with users, both verbally and through writing
Use a computer for extended periods, sitting or standing
Communicate by remote collaboration platform (MS Teams), and type on a keyboard
May be required to lift up to 50 pounds of IT hardware (laptops, desktops, monitors, etc.)
